The Francis G. and Betty J. Miller Foundation was established under the estate plan of Betty J. Miller. At the Miller Foundation, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Geneseo and surrounding areas. This foundation is driven by honoring Betty’s wishes to enhance the quality of life for the residents in our local community.
Our Purpose:
- Health and Well-being: Betty was an avid supporter and volunteer at Hammond-Henry Hospital. The Miller Foundation strives to enhance the health and well-being of individuals by supporting initiatives that promote access to quality healthcare, mental health awareness, and overall wellness. Through targeted programs and partnerships, we aim to create a healthier and happier society.
- Community Development: Strong communities are the backbone of a thriving society. We actively engage in projects that foster community development, including infrastructure improvement, sustainable initiatives, and capital projects.
- Education and Empowerment: Education is a powerful tool for empowerment. Per Betty’s wishes, a portion of the annual distribution is allocated to scholarships for graduating students at Geneseo High School. Preferential treatment is given to students pursing professional healthcare related fields or study through a technical/trade school.
- Innovation and Research: We believe in the power of innovation to drive positive change. The foundation invests in research and innovation projects that have the potential to transform lives and address our local challenges.
